The four-year track for preliminary training in Chinese medicine:

General curriculum

Four days per week, over 32 weeks

Academic hours:

Overall – 4600

Yearly – 1024 (1st and 2nd years)

1280 (3rd and 4th years)

"Authorized Therapist of Chinese Medicine".

Subjects studied in the "Authorized Therapist of Chinese Medicine" track:

First year

Chinese Medicine – history, Tao, yin-yang, Heaven - Man - Earth, the Five Elements, Introduction to the I – Ching, Three treasures, Energy, Types of energies, the Body's organs – physiology, causes of illness.

Chinese Diagnosis – Feeling the Pulse, Types of people according to the 5 elements

Chinese Thinking – Introduction to eastern philosophy including Taoism, Confucianism and Buddhism

Learning basic themes of Chinese culture and reading texts from Chinese philosophy and medicine.

Chinese Herbal Medicine - Introduction to the theory of herbs - an in-depth study of 190 individual plants.

Energetics and Action of Acupuncture points – the function of all acupuncture points according to their name and energetic quality, Point categories, Direction of flow and symptomatology

The Meridian System – meridians flow and interior connections, Physical location of all Acupuncture points in the body

Tai Chi and Chi Kong - developing the therapist's energy through breathing techniques and exercises.

Manuel Therapy physical Techniques – Holistic body massage and Chinese Tui-Na Physical Therapy and clinical training.

Western Medicine – Introduction, terminology, and general anatomy/physiology.

Second year

Chinese Medicine:

Chinese Pathology – Deep understanding of the 8 principle theory,

Zang – Fu differentiation of syndromes.

Chinese Physiology – The Three Heater:

In-depth study of the production and function of blood, energy and body Fluids.

The Six Division Theory in connection to pathology, physiology, The Five Elements and the Meridian system.

The four radicals.

Physiology and Pathology of the meridian system including: T.m.m, Luo, and Divergent meridians.

In-depth study of the Eight extra meridians.

Pulse Diagnosis - Understanding the Physiology and Pathology of the pulse.

Development of disorders according to various models in Chinese Medicine.

Chinese Diagnosis- The Four Methods of Diagnosis including: Pulse Diagnosis, Tongue Diagnosis, Body Diagnosis, 5 Types of people, Face Diagnosis, Nail Diagnosis, Hara Diagnosis.

Chinese Thinking - Learning basic themes of Chinese culture and reading Medical and Philosophical classic texts from the Nei – Ching, Tao Te Ching, Chuang - Tze and more.

Chinese Herbal Medicine – 120 Chinese herbal formulas and clinical applications.

Chinese Nutrition – Clinical theory and applications.

Acupuncture techniques - Various acupuncture and therapy techniques including: Needling, Cupping, Moxa and Guasha

Tui – Na - Chinese Physical therapy – Pain and soft tissues protocols and clinical training

Tai Chi and Chi - Kong.

Western Medicine - Pathophysiology of the body's systems 1.

Third year

Chinese medicine:

Clinical training at the school clinics: after the first semester all students will be required to pass a thorough practical and theoretical exam, covering what has been taught so far, in order to be able to start their clinical practice in the school clinics.

Case-study analysis.

Therapeutic techniques – Auricular Acupuncture, Electro Acupuncture, Hand Acupuncture, Scalp Acupuncture and more.

Chinese pathophysiology – Analyzing Western disorders according to Chinese medicine.

Chinese medicine – supplementary studies and professional seminars.

Chinese nutrition – clinical applications.

Tui – Na - Chinese Physical therapy – Internal Medicine, babies and children protocols and clinical training

Chinese herbology - Case-study analysis and practical training in the school clinics

Tai Chi and Chi - Kong.

Western Medicine - Pathophysiology of the body's systems

Practitioner development

Fourth year

Clinical training at the school clinics.

Case-study analysis.

Chinese medicine – Chinese pathophysiology (2). Further study of western diseases according to Chinese medicine.

Chinese medicine – Supplementary studies and professional seminars.

Chinese emergency medicine

Chinese herbology – Professional seminars in the analysis and treatment using herbs

Western medicine seminars and clinical observation

Advanced courses and workshops for students and graduates

. Stems and Branches – yearly course which combine(s) theoretical and clinical study

. I – Ching Acupuncture – Advanced understanding of Fu-Shi and King-Wen triagrams and their practical applications

continents – Ancient system of diagnosis and treatment by understanding the theory of the 9 palaces

. Pulse Diagnosis – Advanced workshop

. Elements – In depth study of the theory and its practical application according the Nei – Ching

. Acupuncture Points – Understanding the energetic qualities of points according the Nei Ching

Admission is conditional on a personal interview with the school's director or with representatives of the school's management.
